In November we hosted a meet at one of our favorite outdoor locations. In the past we’ve packed the house with over 1000 vehicles. While this year wasn’t quite so big, we had a great turnout and it was still a blast!
There’s just something different and fun about an all-outdoor meet, as opposed to a full blown indoor car show. You never know who or what kind of vehicles are going to show up, and often times you end up seeing some ultra rare cars that make the trip more than worthwhile. I can honestly say that has happened at every single one of our outdoor meets and it’s what will always keep me coming back.
This event marked the return of a car that was very well known in our scene some years ago, and hasn’t competed in almost ten years. Seeing it looking exactly as it did back then (and still looking just as good) was like opening a time capsule. Moments like that will always put a smile on my face.
Another great thing about these events is the laid back atmosphere. There’s no judging or trophies, and no pressure. Making it much easier to take your time and enjoy the creations that your fellow enthusiasts have put together.
And with this event being held at a baseball stadium, you can’t forget about the food! While stadium food is usually enough for most, this event also featured a few food trucks!
Overall it was a chilly, but great day!
